CLR Podcast 138 - James Ruskin It´s Monday October 17th and we have UK techno legend James Ruskin back on the CLR Podcast. James is one of the most demanded and most restless techno djs of our time. His musical history and deep knowledge of underground electronic music can be traced back to mid-80s electro and hip-hop. When Detroit techno emerged in the UK in the beginning of the 90s he bought all the key records and soon after started his successful dj career. After building his first studio with long time friend Richard Polson, with whom he also started producing music under the name Outline and with whom he founded the label Blueprint in 1996, he released his first solo album Further Design in 1998. Last year he released his fourth solo album by the name of The Dash, which is considered to be his best long player to date. He is currently producing, remixing and releasing music under his own name as well as together with artists such as Regis (under the project name O/V/R) or with Mark Broom as The Fear Ratio. (Their first album Light Box will be released on Blueprint on November 17th.) You can find tracks of both of these projects in the present podcast, so please enjoy the CLR Podcast 138 with James Ruskin, one of the key figures and leading lights in UK techno.
