This is the 3rd release for the label’s 10 years anniversary release cycle. Mixed and edited by Chris Liebing himself these releases are taken exclusively, and their originals released individually, as a five part set in the run up to the 12 track album release.
The first track to drop on the A-side is by none other than Chris Liebing’s closest friend, Collabs sessions partner, and studio mentor, Speedy J. ‘I can only say I learn so much from him in the time that I have known him, since 2001’ say’s Chris. This track is called ‘Armstrong’ and it took Chris quite some time in order to convince Jochem Paap to give it to him for the compilation. Jochem had agreed to contribute to the 10 year compilation, but he needed more time to produce a track. ‘Armstrong’ was a finished track which Jochem originally wanted to release on his own label Electric Deluxe. Chris had to try really hard to convince Jochem to give it to him for the compilation. Luckily, he succeeded. Chris says; ‘I am really, really happy to have it because this is a track that is doing so much damage on the dance floor. It gets really nice, dark and dirty, and wild and is made for these special forward techno moments in any sense. Enjoy!’
The B-side is a deep, growling, and intriguing stomper by German producer Monoloc. Founder of ‘Smallroom Music’, Monoloc is yet another talented artist to surface out of Frankfurt. Although he has not released on CLR yet, he is indeed a very promising talent and you should be sure that this is certainly not his last release. This track is called ‘Pumpkin’ and has an amazing groove and flow to it, and of course it works perfectly in the club. It is quite the dance floor smasher.
